Setting	Description
INTERACTIVE	This switch mode will activate INTERACTIVE mode. In this mode, the function is triggered by the prop's infra-red (IR) sensor. When the Infra-red (IR) sensor is triggered, the prop's lights, movement, and sound will activate. During initial activation, the prop will invite the user to ask a yes or no question. Once the prop receives a query, it will reply randomly with a yes, no, or maybe style response. If the prop does not receive a query, it will respond after 10 seconds. If a user's response is longer than 10 seconds, the prop will give a response at the 10 second mark. The infra-red (IR) sensor has a range of up to 4m/13 ft and will activate when someone comes within an 80-degree angle from left to right as well as from above or below.
OFF/STEP PAD	This switch mode allows the item's lights, sounds, and animation to be activated only if triggered by using a Step Here Try Me Activation Pad (Not Included).
TIMER/SENSOR	Activates SENSOR mode for 6 hours, then turns off for 18 hours, repeating automatically. During the active period, lights stay on continuously while motion triggers one sound and animation cycle. The IR sensor detects movement within 13 ft (4 m) and an 80° range.
	Adjustable dial; turn all the way down to mute.

Adapter must be tightly screwed in at the Function Control Box and plugged into a wall outlet.
Switch on the control box should be set to your preferred mode.
If not functioning properly (ex: Beak doesn't move, eyes don't light up, Head doesn't move), ensure that cables are connected to their corresponding cable as shown in the instruction sheet.
Ensure the base surface is flat and nothing blocks the movement.
Check that the speaker volume is turned up.
